PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for processing image with which the image of picture quality for practical use can be obtained even in case of high compression. SOLUTION: Image data for one frame of a source image are compressed by a compressor 3, compression encoding is performed for the unit of a block by an encoding part 1, and these data are outputted to a communication path or a storage medium. Then, data are inputted from the communication path or the storage medium, extension decoding is performed by the unit of a block by a decoding part 2, image data are extended for one frame by an extender 4, a contour is detected after performing median filtering through a correcting filter 5 and the image is corrected by blurring its section excepting for the contour and outputted. |
