IMAGE PICKUP METHOD OF USING OFFSET SPATIAL OPTICAL MODULATOR ARRAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enabling higher-level image pickup without requiring the device of higher-level resolution. SOLUTION: A spatially offset image is displayed by using a spatial optical modulator. A 2nd spatial modulator image 12 a little offsetting a 1st spatial modulator image 10 is overlapped on this 1st image and the image of resolution higher than this spatial modulator is provided. One or two devices can be used for a still picture. When picking up the image of video data, these two devices are used and the inputted data can be made into component divided between these devices.
