PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device and an electronic control method in which a transfer memory region is arranged between a transmission part or a receiving part and a transmission memory region or a receiving member region, and then a data transfer is carried out between it and another electronic control device in compliance with a short revising space. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a first transfer memory region in which a plurality of kinds of data having a different revision timing are arranged in a predetermined order and stored and a transmission memory region in which a plurality of kinds of data are written at predetermined positions under a revision timing for data. All data in the transmission memory region are transferred to the first transfer memory region under a predetermined timing. Due to this fact, the data in the first transfer memory region is not revised during a time in which data is transmitted from the first transfer memory region and thus data can be transmitted under an optional timing in compliance with a short revision timing.
