PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make correct adjustment for each zone even in an extremely small quantity of ink by allowing the distribution area of a plurality of distribution members to form a shape different from parallel lines relative to the outer peripheral surface of an ink delivery roller. SOLUTION: An ink delivery roller 1 is disposed corresponding to an ink fountain 2 containing printing ink 3, and cooperates with delivery members 4 arranged juxtaposedly over the length of the ink reservoir 2. The delivery zone of the delivery members 4 permits distances to be controlled relative to the outer peripheral surface of the ink delivery roller 1 with the consequence that ink films 6 having various thicknesses are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the roller 1. In accordance with the thickness of the ink film 6, the various quantities of ink are transferred to an inking device. Ink strip to be transferred, when the thickness of the strip increases, is formed to be in contact with a follower inking roller 7 from a portion having the highest projection, thus even an extremely narrow ink strip can be transferred into the inking device. |
