摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sensitiveness for flaw detection. SOLUTION: By means of an offsetting screw 4 and an offset shift block 5, a transducer 2 is offset by the predetermined quantity to the normal line while its ultrasonic wave emitting direction is set parallelly to the normal line arranged in a nuclear fuel rod 1, and the transducer 2 is oscillated at the predetermined angle in the direction parallel to the axial line of the nuclear fuel rod 1 by means of a rotary mechanism consisting of a rotary shaft fixing plate 6, an oscillating rotary shaft 7, and a rotary disc 8. In this way, the orientation of ultrasonic waves by means of the transducer 2 is set on the basis of a combination of setting for the axial direction of the nuclear fuel rod 1 and setting for the direction orthogonally crossing the axial direction.
