PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a pontoon with a pin-roller jack including vertically movable and tiltable spuds. SOLUTION: A working pontoon 1 is mounted with a pin-roller jack device comprising spuds 3 which are provided at both sides of the pontoon and are only vertically movable and a spud 2 which is provided in the stern of the pontoon and is vertically movable and also tiltable forward or backward by predetermined angles. Firstly with both side spuds being plunged into the bottom ground, only the stern spud is lifted, tilted backward and then lowered as it is to be plunged into the bottom ground. Both side spuds are thereafter lifted and the stern spud tilted backward is then turned forward while being plunged into the bottom ground to advance the pontoon. In turning the pontoon left or right, either side spud is vertically plunged into the bottom ground, while the stern spud tilted is turned reverse. |
