PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and thin electronic still camera with a simple constitution by shifting an optical axis of a lens system and a center of the image-forming face of an image pickup element at non-photographing time and matching with the optical axis of the lens system with the center of the image-forming face of the image pickup element at the time of photographing. SOLUTION: An image pickup lens 1 and an image pickup means 3 are arranged in parallel at the nonphotographing time. A structure means 2 holds the image pickup lens 1 or the image pickup means 3 or the image pickup lens 1 and the image pickup means 3. At the time of photographing, the structure means 2 moves the image pickup lens 1 or the image pickup means 3 or the image pickup lens 1 and the image pickup means 3 and matches the optical axis of the image pickup lens 1 with the center of the image-forming face of the image pickup element arranged on the image pickup means 3. Thus, the electronic still camera can be thinned since the image pickup lens 1 can be stored at the side of the image pickup means 3 and the trailing end of the image pickup lens 1 at the back or near the back of a design 5 at non- photographing time with such constitution. |
