PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a head at fast speed to a position dislocated from an actuating position by moving an auxiliary valve to a closing position before a rising stroke of a postion finishes, and connecting a lowering air line to an exhaust line through a control valve and a restricting valve. SOLUTION: A little before a piston 14 reaches the end of a rising stroke, an auxiliary valve 50 is made unactuated, and a line 48 is separated from a muffler 52, and is connected to exhaust through a valve 24 and a restricting valve 31. An adjustment of the restricting valve 31 and the timing to make the auxliary valve 50 unactuated, are selected so that a cushion device 46 can be actuated when the piston 14 approaches the end of a rising stroke and a cushion effect is imparted to the final part of a movement of the piston 14. The timing of a signal to the valves 50 and 2' is determined by a timing system of a section, but can be easily adjusted by a manual terminal. Therefore, the timing and speed of a movement of the piston can be controlled over actuating time of a device.
