PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch the frequency to that of an optimum base station, without missing the reception of data by switching the frequency sequetially to the frequency received from plural base stations in a time band, when no data are transmitted and then receiving the switched frequency from the base station that has the optimum receiving state. SOLUTION: A base station A sends data to a mobile station 6, and the packet of a slot 1 includes the time information, covering up to a slot 3 to be received next. The station 6 receives the data on the slot 1 and then receives the time information, covering up to the slot 3. During the time covering up to the slot 3, i.e., during a slot 2, the frequency is switched to frequency fB of a base station B and the receiving state is tested. In the same way, the receiving state of a base station C is also tested, and these test results are stored. In this case, the station 6 is turned to word the base station B, and therefore the test result shows that the receiving state for the station B is better. The station 6 switches the received frequency to the frequency fA in order to receive the next slot 3 and then switches the frequency fA to the optimum frequency fB after having received the slot 3.
