AIR BAG EXPANSION DEVICE AND AIR BAG EXPANSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a reaction of automatic igniting material in an air bag expansion device. SOLUTION: Holes 22 are formed in either a module container or a housing 10 of an air bag expansion device 26 and then the holes 22 are filled with plugs 24 made of meltable lower melting point material. As a result, in the case that the air bag expansion device 26 is exposed to a situation in which occurrence of fire is produced, the plugs 24 are melted and further the automatic ignition material communicates with the external part of the housing 10 through holes 22.
