PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the transmission ratio of a select lever so as to be easily adaptable to various transmission by making a connecting point to be installed in a transmission device connected to a select lever adhere to the body surface, and forming it into the select lever in space between a select lever's working surface and a turning shaft. SOLUTION: A gearshift device 2 to be connected to a control slide of an automatic transmission is provided with a select lever 6 with a push button, a transmission lever 8 to be connected to a Bowden cable, a looking device 10 and a locking means 11, respectively. This transmission lever 8 is connected to a second lever 16 with a slider 17, but this connection is made so as to be done at an area (connecting point) 18 where an overhang area 34 is surrounded by a projection 33 of the transmission lever 8. Subsequently each position of two shafts A and B, namely, a distance between these shafts A and B is altered by a design change in a housing 9, while a distance (e) between the shaft A and the overhang area 34 as well as another distance between the shaft A and a ball end 32 are altered by each form of these levers 8 and 16. |
