PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type display device allowing to discriminate the degree of importance of displayed information more effectively than other display media not only on a display device as an information displaying medium but also on own display device. SOLUTION: A character formed from emitting end faces 2b at a reference positionαis enhanced in the display relatively to a character formed from emitting end faces 2b of optical fibers 2 at positionβeven though a same intensity of LED(light emitting diode) is used for a source of light, by displaying the character with the optical fiber 2 setting a position of the optical fiber 2 in the axial direction to the positionβin the direction of depth relative to the reference positionαof the emitting end faces 2b on a display screen 1a formed from the emitting end faces 2b of the display device.
