The invention relates to a post, mainly for supporting road equipment, such as signs, traffic lights and light fittings. The post has a uniform, tubular profile which in the longitudinal direction of the post is divided into a number of alternate bearing sections (S) and yielding sections (C), wherein the bearing sections (S) comprise flange parts (9) directed towards the centre of the profile or parts having a wall thickness which is bigger than that of the yielding sections (C). |
