The invention refers to a process to interpolate digital video data frames received in frames form, to film-mode or normal mode frame frequency, including a frame storing, movement valuation production movement vectors, and an interpolation between stored frame and an actual frame, characterized in that film-mode storing is performed at frequency half of that in camera mode, so that only second of both input frames corresponding to same film image, is stored in frame memory to be able to read again two times in succession, in order to be compared with following two input frames to calculate movement vectors. Use in frames frequency conversion is also described.
