The present invention refers to a polymer-coated narrow strip or strip, and to a metallic strip and particularly to the covered metallic strip having an ornamental design such as grooves on the coat. According to this invention, the coat is applied onto the metallic strip by means of a notched roller which produces a pattern on said coat.
