The invention refers to a process for butene oligomers obtainment from field butanes, wherein (a) in a dehydrogenation stage 2 n- and iso-butanes contained in field butanes 1 are dehydrogenated, and (b) dehydrogenation mixture 3 is oligomerized in an oligomerization stage 8. Oligomerization products, dibutene and tributene, are starting materials to obtain softening alcohols, or else, washing raw material. Adding an isomerization stage 24, process can be controlled so that exclusively di-n-butene or di-iso-butene is obtained as dibutene.
