The invention provides a package which is easily opened, wherein an article is enclosed between a lower thermoplastic continuous strip having an aperture (1) and a rim (4) formed in the aperture periphery, and an upper thermoplastic continuous strip (7) superimposed thereon, which is sealed with the lower continuous strip in a sealing region comprising the peripheral rim, the package being characterized in that the lower thermoplastic continuous strip has at least a recess (6) in a marginal zone of the peripheral rim, which provides a non-adhesion area (8) to the upper continuous strip which can be grasped with the fingers to initiate the package opening.
