The present invention relates to fluids cooling, particularly for natural gas liquefying, wherein: a) a cold producing mixture is compressed in a penultimate level (1A, 1B) of several levels on a compression unit (1, 1'), b) thereby compressed mixture is separated to achieve a steam fraction and a liquid fraction, c) such steam fraction is cooled and partially condensed, d) resulting steam fraction is sent towards last compression level (1C), to achieve a high pressure steam fraction, e) at least some of such high pressure steam fractions and liquid fraction are cooled, expanded and circulated by at least thermal exchange means (5) with fluid to be cooled. During stage c), such steam fraction coming from condensed mixture separation is cooled by circulating the same in heat exchange with a cooling fluid, by second thermal exchange means (18).
