PURPOSE: To provide a machine and a method for forming vertically roofing exterior cladding material, which is used for laying the curved roof or outer wall of a building and can easily form an exterior cladding material having curved side edge. CONSTITUTION: One step or more forming stages 3, each of which is equipped with a roll stand 2 having a vertical pair of cantilevered forming rollers 21 and 21 and which are arranged at the right and left of a forming machine base 4 so as to face the forming rollers 21 opposite to each other, are equipped in the running direction of forming stock. At the same time, a controlling mechanism for properly sliding the forming stages 3 outwards and inwards is provided so as to control the roll stand 2 by moving laterally with the controlling mechanism 5 in accordance with the running situation of the forming stock running between the roll stands 2 and 2 in order to form the stock. |
