An interference suppression choke i.e. for suppressing high- frequency (h. f. ) interference and harmonics, uses a wound, geometrical, mainly closed core made of a highly permeability material e.g. a ferrite material, and at least one narrow gap (3,4,5) is made in the core (1). The gap (4,5) provided in the core extends only over a part of the cross-section of the core (1,6), but more specifically the gap (3) extends over the whole cross-section of the core (1). The core may be specifically ring-shaped or rectangular, and the gap partly filled with a material, the materials used for placing in the gap having various permeabilities, electrical constants and electrical resistances. |
