PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an arom. polycarbonate compsn. which possesses a excellent heat stability even upon aging by adding a phosphorous ester compd. having a specified structure to a specified arom. polycarbonate. SOLUTION: This arom. polycarbonate compsn. is prepd. by incorporating tris(2,4-di-t-butylphenyl) phosphite (B) in an amt. of 10 to 1,000ppm into an arom. polycarbonate (A), having a terminal hydroxyl content of not more than 1,000ppm, prepd. by melt-polymerizing a carbonic diester and an arom. dihydroxy compd. in the presence of a transesterification catalyst in an amt. of 0.01 to 10μmol/mol (the amt. of the metal in the catalyst based on the arom. dihydroxy compd.). This compsn. is an arom. polycarbonate compsn. comprising 10 to 1,000ppm of a compd. represented by the formula contained in the component (A).
