DATA MULTIPLEXER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data multiplexer which does not cause any data breakage in a decoder section nor failure during the multiplex operation for multiplexing a plurality of stream data in one transmission channel. SOLUTION: A data multiplexer is provided with a time stamp detecting section 101 which detects the time stamp peculiar to input data and a clock comparing section 102 which calculates the difference between the clock of a stream and the system clock of the data multiplexer from the time stamp detected by means of the detecting section 101. In addition, the multiplexer holds previously declared stream information in a declared rate accumulating section 104. A scheduling section 103 makes the schedule of a multiplex buffer 105 by using the output of the comparing section 102 and the stream information held in the accumulating section 104.
