Partially hot-tin-plated strip and a method and apparatus for its manufacture

A ship that is partially hot-tin-plated with at least one metallic coating track extending in longitudinal direction on or both of its upper and lower surfaces and/or along one or both side edges. An intermetallic phase exists between the ship material and the coated track. In order to satisfy the many uses for partially tin-plated ships in the electronics and electrotechnical fields and for the manufacture of semiconductor elements, the track, viewed in longitudinal direction, is interrupted according to the invention at regular and/or irregular spacings (A1, A2, A3 . . . ).
