FIELD: breech-loading mortars. In addition, the barrel and breechblock have a mutual coupling and uncoupling device made in the form of a groove on the breechblock open from the front side and a pin on the breech piece that is engageable with the groove on the breech piece. When the barrel is turned up, its pin turns the breechblock relative to the breech piece and brings the breechblock out of the barrel. After the barrel pin comes out of the groove the barrel gets uncoupled from the breechblock and further moves independently up to the stop in the position for loading.
