THERMOPLASTIC-RESIN-COATED METAL PLATE HAVING GOOD MOLDING WORKABILITY AND IMPACT RESISTANT WORKABILITY, AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make molding workability improve and to make applicable to severe molding working by controlling birefringence coefficients of the surface side of a resin film laminated on a part to be a can barrel wall and a part to be a can bottom and the side contacting a can common plate. SOLUTION: A resin-coated metal plate is a metal plate coated with a resin film having orientation. A birefringence coefficient in the outside surface layer of the resin film which is laminated on the part 1 to be a can bottom when the plate is molding-worked into a can, is made 0.06-0.10, and the birefringence coefficient of the layer contacting the metal plate is made 0.005-0.20. The birefringence coefficient in the surface layer of the resin film laminated on a part 2 to be a can barrel wall is made 0.02-0.06, and the birefringence coefficient of the layer contacting the metal plate is made 0.005 0.20. In this way, severe molding workability and impact resistant workability can be made to be satisfactory at the same time.
