PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase-compensating transformer which can improve the transient stability and dynamic stability of a power generator or transmission system. SOLUTION: A phase-compensating transformer 1 is provided with a controller 10 which controls by braking the secondary-side voltage of a series transformer Ph, connected in series to a transmission system which transmits the electric power generated from a power generator through transmission lines L, containing a bus transmission line B. The controller 10 is provided with a means which calculates the time differential value (dΔω/dt) of the frequency deviation (Δω) of the power generator or transmission line B, and sets the point of time at which the time differential value reaches the negative domain as the terminating timing for the braking control. |
