摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of determining a portion that undergoes cerebral surgery by performing transfer matrix calculations on the basis of the three-dimensional coordinate values of a recording electrode position from X-ray CT photo-information and of brain parenchyma three-dimensional shape information constructed from plural pieces of MRI photo-information, and superimposing the results on the three- dimensional shape of the brain parenchyma. SOLUTION: To estimate the position of a dipole using an intracerebral dipole tracking device, the inside three-dimensional shape of the cranial bone and the three- dimensional shape of the cerebral parenchyma are originated using a plurality of brain tomograms 2 to 3mm wide, taken parallel to an OM line from the base to the top of the skull as X-ray tomograms and MRI tomograms (ST1, 2). Then the position of a recording electrode is converted into numerical values for coordinates (ST3), and a transfer matrix at a double-layered structure (the cerebrospinal fluid and the cerebral parenchyma) is calculated (ST4). Next, calculations for estimating the dipole position are made based on recorded electric potential (ST5), and the dipole position and the magnitude and direction of the electric potential are superimposed on the three-dimensional shape of the cerebral parenchyma and displayed on a display device (ST6).
