PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium feed apparatus for smoothly feeding a recording medium to enhance an image grade. SOLUTION: An extension guide 36 is inclined by a predetermined angleθso that the gap between the upstream side part 36a in a feed direction of the extension guide 36 and a printing plate 14 becomes wider than the gap between the downstream part 36b in the feed direction and the printing plate 14 to smoothly guide the leading end of the recording medium 70 feed while held between a drive roller 12 and an upper feed roller 10b to the extension guide 36 and the recording medium 70 is passed through the gap between the printing plate 14 and the extension guide 36 to be allowed to reach a discharge roller 20 and a spure 22 to be held therebetween.
