FIELD: sealing shut-off fittings; sealing cocks with ball plugs. SUBSTANCE: seal is made in form of elastic deformation ring fitted in bore of body. Outer and end surfaces of ring, as well as its surfaces engageable with ball plug are provided with profiled grooves imparting additional elastic properties to it. Axis of symmetry of groove located on surface engageable with ball plug lie in line dividing the angle in half. Angle is formed by outer and end surfaces of ring.
