PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress the withering of a tree suffered from noxious insects without giving any damage to a tissue inside of the tree by setting a value of an electric current applied to the tree by an electric voltage applying device, lower than a prescribed value in a period of a low electric source impedance of a pulse. SOLUTION: This method for suppressing the withering of a tree is to generate pulse rows consisting of a series of pulses consisting of pulses having both polarities consisting of one side polarity pulses having a small amplitude and a large width having a low electric source impedance and another side polarity pulses having a large amplitude and a narrow width having a high electric source impedance, and set the value of an applied electric current into a tree A from an electric voltage applying device 1 at <=20mA in a period of the low electric source impedance of the pulses. Further, it is preferable that an applying time of the pulse row for one time is set at <=5sec, and the pulses are applied to the tree A periodically by several times daily. |
