<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous connection by permitting a substitutional signalling function to be incorporated in the software of an ATM exchange, adopting only UNI connected to an ATM terminal side as PVC and permitting UNI between the ATM exchanges to be SVC. SOLUTION: At the time of a PVC easy setting system, the ATM terminals 14 and 15 are connected to the ATM exchanges 11 and 13 as PVC and provided with a fixed logical path. But, connection is executed by SVC from the ATM exchange 11 till the exchange 13 being NNI. Therefore, only a routing table for permitting an ATM address to correspond to a line exists so that the fixed logical path over the ATM exchanges is not provided. So, complicated logical path information is not required to be set in the exchanges 11, 12 and 13. The logical path is set after signalling procedure using the incorporated software VPI=O and VCI=5 is executed. Thus, an ATM network where a high-speed ATM line band is effectively used is obtained.</p> |
