PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tire having excellent appearance without bringing about an increase in cost and to reduce the generation of an inferior product at a time of the vulcanizing molding of a tire. SOLUTION: In a mold for molding a tire equipped with a plurality of segments separable in the peripheral direction of the tire, each of the segments 2 is constituted of a plurality of pieces 4 mutually cooperating to form a part of an inner peripheral surface part and a block 3 supporting these pieces 4. Each of the pieces 4 is composed of a composite consisting of a matrix metal and a different kind of the material inserted in the through-hole of the matrix metal and having the coefficient of thermal expansion lower than that of the matrix metal. In this manufacturing method, as a different kind of the material, one having an m.p. higher than that of the matrix metal is used and cast in the matrix metal when the matrix metal is cast. |
