FIELD: fish industry, in particular, devices for fastening net swivels to cables. SUBSTANCE: swivel fastening sleeve has rectangular metal plate rolled to define ring. Opposite parts of plate are provided with tongue having base and tip and opening through which tongue tip is inserted to provide detachable rigid fastening of plate parts. Tongue tip width is less than that of base so as to define shoulder, which abuts against opening surface, when plate parts are connected. Method involves bending metal plate to form ring, with cable receiving opening being defined between opposite parts of plate; arranging tongue tip in opening till shoulder abuts against tip; bending tip extending through opening at an angle to it for preventing tip from withdrawal.
