PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a copper base alloy low in the coefficient of friction in the surface, furthermore having the surface excellent in wear resistance and suitable for connectors, electric automobile charging sockets or the like and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: An Sn coating layer is formed on the surface of a stock of a copper base alloy contg., by weight, 1 to 41% Zn, and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities, and after that, heat treatment is executed at 100 to 450 deg.C for 0.5 to 24hr. As for a female terminal 1 in which at least the spring part 2 is made of this alloy, in the case of being used as a connector, it is excellent in inserting and extracting power, wear resistance and corrosion resistance and is suitable as the material for electronics parts. |
