PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recording head from being damaged by forming a needle- shaped component easily by a method wherein an ink chamber is formed of a substrate and a roof plate bonded to the substrate, and the needle-shaped component is formed horizontally to the substrate and vertically to an ink discharge opening. SOLUTION: A groove 9a is formed on a substrate 8 side to a roof plate 9, which is bonded to the substrate 8 by aligning from above with a microscope. The groove 9a of the roof plate 9 constitutes an ink channel (ink chamber), and an end face of the ink channel becomes an ink discharge opening 11. A flat board shaped needle control electrode 10 is formed parallel to the substrate 8, and both its major axis and the ink discharge opening 11 are made to conform with a horizontal direction of the substrate 8. The needle-shaped control electrode 10 is made of conductive material of good wettability to ink, and its tip is thinned toward the ink discharge opening 11. An electric charge is implanted into the conductive ink according to an image signal from the needle shaped control electrode 10, which is attracted to a counter electrode with Coulomb force to generate drawn yarn-like ink. |
