PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the regulation of opening and closing or air flow direction in a suction port and a discharging port to increase the passing area of suction air as well as an air volume and improve an appearance by a method wherein a plurality of opening and closing means, opening and closing the suction port or the discharging port in conjunction with the movement of a cam means, are provided. SOLUTION: When a driving means 51 for an opening/closing device 50, provided at a suction port, is driven, a pinion 52 is rotated and a cam means 53, engaged with the pinion 52, is elevated. A slot 53a is formed at one side of the cam means 53 so as to be slanted with a predetermined angle and, therefore, a projected unit 54b, engaged with the slot 53a, is moved in accordance with the elevation of the cam means while being guided by the guide slot 55b of a guide means 55 whereby an opening and closing means 54 is pivoted. In this case, the opening/closing means 54 is turned by a predetermined angle about a hinge shaft 54a, supported by the supporting hole 55a of the guide means 55, to open the suction port whereby more amount of indoor air flows into an air conditioner and an air-conditioning efficiency is increased. Another opening/closing device 60, installed at the discharging port, is the same device. Upon stopping operation, the driving means 51 is turned in reverse to close the suction port. |
