PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an original in an easy-to-understand way by processing the acquired image data into the data which are used for recognition of a closed area, included in the original image, and storing the processed data. SOLUTION: The image of a black/white original is stored in a memory 618 which stores the binary signals for a lightness signal Y of the original information and then used as the character information, when the black/white original is synthesized with a color original. The original information is converted into the color palette input data in a color original editing mode, thinned in 100dbi and stored in an LCD display original/closed loop/marker detection memory 620. In a black/white original editing mode, the binary signal of black and white information 1 bit/color information 3 bits/black and white gradation 4 bits in the original, is thinned in 100dbi and stored. Then the original information stored in the memory 620 is transferred to a VRAM by a CPU and displayed there. In the white/black original editing mode, the CPU also detects a closed loop, a marker point position and a marker closed loop of the original and generates the editing area designation information. |
