摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a gate operation suitable for the passing control of passengers with different height differences by detecting the height of a passing body by a height detection means and driving a gate to be closed corresponding to the height of the passing body by a close driving means corresponding to the detected height. SOLUTION: The detection direction of upper passing detection sensors S1-S3 is set toward an upper height position Sa for detecting a tall passenger H1 and the detection direction of intermediate passing detection sensors S4-S6 is set toward an intermediate height position Sb for detecting the passenger H2 of a normal height. Lower passing detection sensors S7-S12 detect the light shielding signals of the passenger and are set to a lower height position Sc for surely detecting a short passenger H3. The heights of the passengers H1-H3 are read from the detection data of the respective passing detection sensors S1-S12, the gate of the height position suitable for the passing control is selected from the height, one of the gates 13a-13c in vertical three stages on an exit side is selected and a closing operation is performed.
