PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hardware capable of securing bending strength to a satisfactory extent and reducing weight. SOLUTION: Column base hardware forms integrally a projection having a plane profile equivalent to the outline of an end face on the lower end of a steel post and a base plate having a plurality of other bolt insertion holes anchored with foundation concrete. In the case when the inside dimension of the projection is specified to be L1 , the thickness dimension of the base plate in the border with the projection is represented by 3×10<-5> L1 <2> +0.1L1 +9<=3×10-5 L12 +0.1L1 +22. A thin-walled section, which is an inside dimensional area L2 , is formed in the central part of the base plate. The thickness dimension t2 of the base plate in this thin-walled section is represented by 2×10<-5> L2 <2> +0.06L2 -5<=t2 3×10<-5> L2 <2> +0.07L2 +3 (but it is represented in L1 , t2 <t1 ).
