PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the diameter of a ball of an angular contact ball bearing and attain the high speed of the bearing. SOLUTION: In an angular contact ball bearing in which the reduction of the diameter dw of a ball 3 has the advantage of reducing centrifugal force applied to the ball 3 and the gyroscopic moment of the ball 3 and the disadvantage of lowering rated load rigidity when the diameter dw of the ball 3 is too small and the inner diameter (d) of the bearing is 45 to 120mm, the increase in temperature of the bearing is suppressed and the high speed of the bearing is attained by setting the relation of the diameter dw of the ball 3 and the height h of bearing cross section to dw/h×100=32 to 35%.
