FIELD: metallurgy; devices for secondary cooling of continuously cast casting blocks. SUBSTANCE: device consists of horizontal tubes interconnected to form closed system with the help of vertical air headers. Secured alongside with air headers and parallel to their axes are water headers which are connected by means of branch pipes with horizontal tubes. Branch pipes have metering holes for water and are located on both sides of upper and lower horizontal tubes. EFFECT: improved quality of continuously cast casting blocks due to uniform supply and distribution of water-air mixture over width of cooled casting block, and increased stability of supporting members in zone of second cooling. 5 dwge
