ACCURATE DIGITAL PHASE SHIFTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital phase shifter which can accurately shift the phase of input signals in the increment of 360 deg./NK. SOLUTION: This digital phase shifter is provided with a double-coefficient frequency divider 52 which divides the frequency of input signals by a selectable integer coefficient value N or N+M, a frequency divider 58 which divides the output signal of the divider 52 by a coefficient K, an upward converting means 60 which converts the output signal of the divider 58 upward, and a coefficient selecting means 160 which selects the coefficient value of the divider 52 and shifts the phase of input signals in 360 deg./NK increment by selecting the value N or N+M as the main coefficient value of the divider 52 in response to a phase control command specifying the shifting amount of the phase, and then, the other value N+M or N and only setting the coefficient value of the divider 52 to the cycle number divided by the divider 52 corresponding to the phase control command.
