PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply collect isoflavone as a nutrient auxiliary or a food material by heating an aqueous solution of a vegetable starting material, passing through an ultrafiltration membrane to give a permeate, adjusting back pressure in a retained solution and recovering isoflavone from the permeate. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution of a vegetable starting material is heated to 65-95 deg.C and a vegetable soluble substance is passed through an ultrafiltration membrane to give a permeate. The permeate is gradually cooled from a high temperature of 85 deg.C to a low temperature of 22 deg.C with continuous stirring and centrifuged at 900xg for a sufficient time to form an isoflavone precipitate to abandon a supernatant liquid. The precipitate is centrifuged against at 900xg and the precipitate is dried to recover isoflavone. |
