PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate energization control of the spill control solenoid valve of a high pressure feed pump. SOLUTION: During a whole period of a forced feed time of fuel in the pump chamber 73 of a high pressure feed pump 7, an electronic control unit 12 controls a spill control solenoid valve 9 to a fully closed or a fully opened state. By regulating the number of forced feed times according to the load of an engine, a consumption amount by injection of fuel is compensated and a pressure is maintained with a pressure fluctuation in a common rail 4 suppressed. |
