PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a magnetic medium reader from being distored even when power is applied to a belt and to make it possible to sufficiently guide a medium even in the case of the movement of a medium such as a bankbook having rigidity. SOLUTION: In a magnetic medium reader 1, a passage guide 18 having a carrying guide face 17 for carrying a medium 2 is formed on the upper surface of a frame 7. Plural projetions 20 for holding the medium 2 almost at the same height as the guide face 17 are formed on the belt 5 at a prescribed interval in the same direction as the carrying direction of the medium 2. The projections 20 are formed over a range in which a magnetic head 3 closes an aperture part 4 formed on the medium passage 19 of the medium 2 and over the whole range of the carrying guide face 17 including a state that a head 3 is moved to a position deviated from the guide face 17 to a side direction. |
