<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of a jam in a paper feeding path between a vertical conveying guide and a paper feed cassette arranged on the side of the vertical conveying guide without any deterioration of a paper guiding action by means of the vertical conveying guide. SOLUTION: In this paper feeder, a vertical conveying guide 2 is arranged along the vertical arrangement direction of a plurality of paper feed cassettes 1, and a movable guide 11 provided with a slanting face 13 is arranged freely oscillationally by a supporting part 12. In this way, a paper sheet 4 fed from the paper feed cassette 1 oscillates the movable guide 11 because of its contact with the slanting face 13 in the movable guide 11 so as to bring the movable guide 11 into contact with the vertical conveying guide 2, so that generation of a jam due to penetration of the tip of the paper sheet 4, which is guided by the slanting face 13 so as to be put between the vertical conveying guide 2 and the movable guide 11, is prevented. In feeding of the paper sheet 4 from the lower side of the movable guide 11, the movable guide 11 is turned to the opposite side by means of contact between the upper part of the movable guide 11 and the paper sheet 4, and a gap 15 is formed between the movable guide 11 and the vertical conveying guide 2 so as to allow passage of the paper sheet 4.</p> |
