FIELD: coal processing industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to fuel production for municipal and domestic consumers. Method implies grinding of raw material - fine classes of lignite, coal, anthracite or their mixes, drying, and thermal treatment in vortex chamber at temperature of 450-600 C at heating speed of 10000-15000 deg./min until residual content of moisture is less than 5%. Granulation is effected at presence of binding solution of lignosulfonate in plate-type granulator to produce granules of following sizes 2-5, 12-18 or 15-20 mm. Rotation speed of granulator plate is 15-20 rpm, angle of incline of granulator plate is 42-45 deg. Granulating period is 10-30 min. Solution of lignosulfonate is taken in amount of 1-5% of raw material mass. After thermal treatment, coal is subjected to additional grinding to size of particles less than 0.2 mm. Upon granulation, fraction with particles size less than 2 mm is screened out and returned to process. EFFECT: high efficiency. 8 cl, 3 tblo
