<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding door which does not bring such a danger that fingers are caught and damaged between the opposite side faces of the right and left door members, by shutting the opening of furniture or fittings. SOLUTION: Mutually opposite side faces 12a, 14a of the adjacent right and left door members of a folding door, are arcuately formed to protrude respectively. The axes 72 are protruded respectively at the end faces 12b, 14b of the right and left door members, crossing the axial centers of the cylinders 70 partly including the arcuate side faces 12a, 14a of the door members and one end of an arm 80 and the other end of the arm are rotatably connected to the axes 72. Gear pieces 100 with a plurality of gear teeth are provided at the peripheral part of the end faces 12b, 14b of the right and left door members near the arcuate side faces 12a, 14a of the door members so that the rotary center coincides with the axial center of the cylinder 70 and the front end of the gear teeth 110 protrudes to the outside of the arcuate side face 12a, 14a. These gear pieces 100 are arranged to rotatably mesh with each other.</p> |
