Copolymers as free acids or in salt form comprise units of formula (I); where M is H or hydrophobic polyalkylene glycol or polysiloxane residue; R is 2-6C alkylene; R is 1-20 alkyl, 5-9C cycloalkyl or phenyl; x, y, z are 1-100; m is 1-100; x to (y+z) ratio is 10:1-10:1; z to y ratio is 5:1-100:1; and m+n = 15-100. The copolymers is prepd. by reacting copolymers with units of formula (II) with polyalkylene glycol ethers of formula (II) R1-O-(R-O)m-H and cpds. of formula (IV) or (V) or with a polypropylene glycol with 10-200 propylene oxide units, and opt. with an alkaline earths base, with Fe or Al salts, with ammonia or with a (hydroxy) alkylamine cpd. |
