PURPOSE:To inform a user of the frequent occurrences of jammings and to speed up maintenance and inspection carried out by a service man by comparing data obtained through the calculation of the number of times of jamming occurrences with a preset reference value, making a decision, and issuing a warning. CONSTITUTION:When a jam deciding means 2a decides that the jamming occurs, the number of times of jams between the present number of times that copying is carried out and the number right before the preset prescribed number of times that copying is carried out is calculated. A jamming data operation counting means 2b counts up. Then, a jamming occurrence ratio is calculated for each cause classifications by a means 2e for calculating a jamming occurrence ratio for each cause classifications. Subsequently, a jamming data comparing/deciding means 2f compares the data counted by the jamming data operation counting means 2b with the preset reference value, and decides whether it is more than the reference value or not. When the data exceeds the set value as the result of the decision, a warning means 5 issues warning by the use of an alarm, etc. |
